The answer is : * It inhibits osteoclast activity.

* It results in decreased blood calcium levels.

 Calcitonin is a hormone released by C-cells of thyoird gland. It affects blood calcium levels by two ways. First is that it inhibits osteoclast activity which results in decrease in blood calcium levels. Osteoclasts are the cells that cause bone resorption which increases blood calcium levels. So inhibition of osteoclasts, causes decrease in blood calcium levels. It also acts on kidneys and decreases calcium reabsorption which further decreases blood calcium levels.

* So,  b, d are correct options.

* Note :Please do like if it is useful to you. It would be a great help. Thank you

Problem 2 - Recursive Binary Create a recursive function in a file called binary.py: This recursive function should return the binaly representation of a number. Here is how to think about this problem. Writing a function that calculates the binary representation should always ask whether or not the number in question is even or odd. For instance, if you were to convert 5 into binary, 5 is odd so you know that the first digit should be a 1 . After this, then you should think about it this way, if you (integer) divide the number by 2 , then you'll get <span class="katex"><span class="katex-html" aria-hidden="true"><span class="base"><span class="strut" style="height:1em;vertical-align:-0.25em;"></span><span class="mord">5//2</span><span class="mspace" style="margin-right:0.2778em;"></span><span class="mrel">=</span><span class="mspace" style="margin-right:0.2778em;"></span></span><span class="base"><span class="strut" style="height:0.6444em;"></span><span class="mord">2</span></span></span></span>, and the binary for 2 is 10. If you put 10 together with 1 at the end, then you'll reach 101 which is the binary for 5 . How can you make this into a recursive process? When you think about the base case, you can use it to add the Ob to the binary number to match what the built in bin <span class="katex"><span class="katex-html" aria-hidden="true"><span class="base"><span class="strut" style="height:1em;vertical-align:-0.25em;"></span><span class="mopen">(</span><span class="mord mathnormal">x</span><span class="mclose">)</span></span></span></span> produces. When you use this driver code to call your function you should see that the binary expression matches. <span class="katex"><span class="katex-html" aria-hidden="true"><span class="base"><span class="strut" style="height:0.4306em;"></span><span class="mord mathrm">x</span><span class="mspace" style="margin-right:0.2778em;"></span><span class="mrel">=</span></span></span></span> int (input ('Tell me number: ')) while <span class="katex"><span class="katex-html" aria-hidden="true"><span class="base"><span class="strut" style="height:0.6944em;"></span><span class="mord mathrm">x</span><span class="mspace" style="margin-right:1em;"></span><span class="mclose">!</span><span class="mspace" style="margin-right:0.2778em;"></span><span class="mrel">=</span><span class="mspace" style="margin-right:0.2778em;"></span></span><span class="base"><span class="strut" style="height:0.7278em;vertical-align:-0.0833em;"></span><span class="mord">−</span><span class="mord">1</span></span></span></span> : print ('Ob' + binary (x), bin(x)) <span class="katex"><span class="katex-html" aria-hidden="true"><span class="base"><span class="strut" style="height:0.4306em;"></span><span class="mord mathrm">x</span><span class="mspace" style="margin-right:0.2778em;"></span><span class="mrel">=</span></span></span></span> int (input ('Tell me number: ')) linux5[109]\& python binary.py Tell me number: 5 Ob101 0b101 Tell me number: 21 Ob10101 0b10101 Tell me number: 57 Ob111001 Ob111001 Tell me number: 214 Ob11010110 Ob11010110 Tell me number: 12345 0b11000000111001 0b11000000111001 Tell me number: 3 Ob11 0b11 Tell me number: 2 Ob10 Ob10 Tell me number: 17 0b10001 0b10001 Tell me number: -1

<div id="mobile-question-style" style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue',Helvetica,Arial; color:#333333;">Graveyard Walk TEAS VI Passage&nbsp;</div><div id="mobile-question-style" style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue',Helvetica,Arial; color:#333333;">Graveyard Walk Steven walked through the graveyard every day on his way home from school. It was a convenient shortcut, and in broad daylight, the tombstones and dark cypress trees seemed mild and unthreatening. Things were different this evening. Steven stole through the gates as quickly as possible, fearful that he was being watched. He ran to the deep shadows of a mausoleum and caught his breath, heart pounding. He tried to listen for ominous noises, but could hear nothing over the blood rushing through his ears. He pressed the button to light up his watch: 11:30 p.m. He must stay here a full hour to win the bet. He now wished he had never taken it. He heard a slow scrape from behind him. Steven froze, and then turned with underwater slowness. To his horror, he could see the mausoleum door sliding open. Steven wanted to run, but could not. He could not feel his legs; he struggled to draw breath. A yellow light shone from inside the mausoleum. Shadows crept and danced on the tombstones as someone or something- holding the light pushed through the door. It made a terrible, guttural sound, like the groans of a dying man. The door swung fully open.On the mausoleum threshold stood an old man in a plaid shirt, a lantern in his hand and a cigarette in his mouth. He coughed again, spat, and closed the door. It was only the graveyard groundskeeper, finishing up a long day of work. The groundskeeper ambled off toward the machine shed. As soon as the man’s back was turned, Steven left his hiding spot and ran. His friend David could keep that $5 wager.
